GEOINTEC REACHES COLLABORATION AGREEMENT WITH LOCAL COMPANY CONINFRA IN ECUADOR

Geointec has reached a collaboration agreement in Ecuador with the company CONINFRA to offer its services of geotechnical studies, topographic surveys, hydrological studies and pull out test in solar and wind farms.

During the month of April 2022, the agreement was consolidated, which will allow Geointec to offer in the Ecuadorian solar market the services oriented to the analysis of the risk associated to the soil of solar and wind farms. As a company specialized in ground engineering and with more than 30 GW equivalent of projects analyzed, Geointec will be able to count on CONINFRA’s machinery infrastructure and technical staff to carry out the geotechnical campaigns and pull out test, including the integral management of the steel profiles for the jacking and load tests.
CONINFRA has a qualified technical team as well as its own machinery (solar pile driver, among other equipment).

With this agreement, Geointec expects to contribute its expertise in the development of the country’s future photovoltaic generation plants, which are expected to grow from only 26.7 MW in 2019 to 450 MW in 2030, or more than 4 gigawatts (GW) if the global solar growth rate continues to increase.
