HOW NECESSARY ARE DRAINAGE NETWORKS FOR THE SOLAR PLANT?

The drainage network of a solar park is necessary to avoid flooding or erosion problems that may occur during the service life of the park. For its design it is mandatory to respect local regulations. In this case, the appropriate regulations conditioned the drainage design by setting a maximum exit flow rate equal to the two year return period flow rate existing before the construction of the park. To respect this constraint, Geointec created an hydraulic 2D model with the HEC RAS software in order to dimension the drain at the exit of the park and the water retention elements by raising the existing tracks.
