Geointec has carried out the calculation for the earth movement of several solar parks under development in New York (USA), Atlántico Department (Colombia), Seville (Spain) and Ribatejo (Portugal).
Topography for solar parks.
For these works, our topographic office has optimized by volumetric calculation the volumetric measurements, cuttings and embankments analysis; and as well as, the distribution of the different parts of the generator field in the plots, and consequently, the amount of power that could be installed in each of the solar projects.
Each photovoltaic solar plant has unique characteristics, and that is why not all solar park developments are the same, many require a prior analysis, interpretation and special adaptation by a specialist in surveying.
The diversity and unevenness in the terrain, the complex reliefs or even the cases of slight unevenness can prevent an optimal distribution of the trackers in certain areas of the park.
This has been the case of the topographic studies of the projects recently analyzed by the Geointec team, since some had irregularities in the terrain, which made it difficult to use the space optimally. Therefore, the experience of the team in this type of work has been essential for the best use of resources, the correct development of the project and to provide the best solution to our clients.
