Geointec participated for the first time with its own exhibition stand at one of the main renewable energy fairs held in Mexico City.
Success is the word with which we define the closing of the ninth edition of the renewable energies congress Mirec Week 2019, which took place at the World Trade Center facilities in Mexico City, from May 20 to 22 of this year.
Geointec participated with a 24 square meters exhibition stan, which was shared with the company Enilso, with whom Geointec works continuously in the projects carried out in the Mexican territory.
The modern stand designed especially for the event and which wore the corporate colors reflecting the synergy between both companies, showed images of some of the projects carried out, not only in Mexico but in other latitudes too.
The congress that was inaugurated by Alberto Montoya, undersecretary of energy of the Mexican government, had three days of conferences being the meeting point for more than 2,000 professionals from the renewable energy sector in Latin America and Europe, more then 3,000 business meetings and 70 exhibitors from the main companies related to the renewable energy sector around the world, with Geointec being one of them.
Clean energies in Mexico:
One of the most important issues addressed in the event was the fulfilment of the established deadlines for at least 35% of the electric power produced in Mexican territory to be generated from clean sources.
In addition, technological advances in the development of renewable projects, the regulation of current regulations and their application for the development of projects were taken as a focal point of discussion.
Mirec Awards:
As usual, during the congress the Mirec Awards took place, an event where the most outstanding actors (individuals and companies) are recognized as important drivers of the sector throughout the year.
On this occasion, 8 prizes were awarded in total. One of them, the project of the year, was for the “Puerto Libertad” Solar Plant, in which Geointec carried out field engineering works, with an ambitious campaign of ramming and load tests – “Pull Out Tests”.
