GEOINTEC completes five Pull Out Test Campaigns on solar PV projects in Chile

From June until now, GEOINTEC’s team in Chile has completed five Pull Out Test Campaigns (POT) for Utility Scale solar PV projects in Vallenar, Marchigüe and Atacama, covering more than 920 MW of photovoltaic capacity and 310 profiles tested.

What is the Pull Out Test?

The Pull Out Test is the field test that validates foundation solutions on complex or variable geological terrain. Through its systematic execution, GEOINTEC determines key engineering parameters such as pile-driving behavior, the load-displacement relationship of the terrain, admissible structural tolerances, and the validation percentage of each foundation solution, together with the corresponding zoning and technical recommendations for non-validated areas.

Each Pull Out Test Campaign carried out by GEOINTEC follows a rigorous protocol that allows solar PV developers to make well-founded engineering decisions before moving into the construction phase, reducing technical risk and optimizing execution timelines.
