GEOINTEC has developed a new geotechnical survey method focussed for PV projects, which combines the variable energy penetrometer with seismic techniques in order to achieve/ increase the investigation depth in hard soils. Advantages of the method:

1. Ensure the investigation depth.
2. Determination of the soil compactness.
3. Determination of the bedrock depth.
4. Velocity of Shear waves analysis Vs30 (MASW).
5. Correlation with deformation modulus E, Su, Nspt.
6. Correlation with the grade of excavability (Vp waves).
