SOIL MECHANICS FOR MORE THAN 25 PMGD’S PROJECTS IN CHILE
Small Means of Distributed Generation projects are projects of less than or equal to 9MW of power that are connected to a medium voltage network.
Geointec SpA, a Chilean subsidiary of Geointec, is once again the trustee of the trust of its clients with the execution of geotechnical, hydrological, hydraulic and topography studies in multiproject format for more than 25 PMGD in various locations in Chile, during the first two quarters of this 2020.
The execution of the field work was carried out by a team led by our engineers, who supervised the geotechnical tests, recording and sampling for later analysis in the laboratory.
The data obtained in the field, together with the laboratory results and the technical knowledge of the analysis and writing team at our central office in Madrid, led us to issue a personalized report with the optimal foundation solution proposal for each project and location.
Sometimes on the same plot several geotechnical scenarios can occur, therefore, the experience of the team is important. At Geointec we specialize in analyzing and determining this type of situation to warn the client and thereby anticipate realities to take into account for project cost calculations.
