Excited to share GEOINTEC’s involvement in an impactful 420 MW solar park project within Western Downs Region, Queensland. Under 2024, GEOINTEC participated in the development of an innovative 420 MW solar park near Chinchilla, Queensland, set to play a key role in Australia’s renewable energy future. The park will also feature an advanced 120 MW / 240 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) to optimize the use of solar energy.

As part of the project, GEOINTEC conducted a detailed geotechnical study to assess subsurface conditions, providing the essential data for designing and constructing the plant efficiently while minimising risks and costs. Additionally, we completed a topographic survey covering 1,040 hectares, utilizing advanced drone-based photogrammetry to ensure accurate land mapping and support infrastructure planning.
With decades of experience in ground engineering for solar projects, this initiative reflects GEOINTEC’s continued commitment to driving solar energy development. The comprehensive geotechnical study performed demonstrates our expertise in delivering specialized services that include detailed site investigations, risk analysis, and comprehensive technical assessments.
Our services for solar projects include: • Geotechnical site investigations • Hydrological and flood risk studies • Ramming and pull-out tests • Topographic land surveys
