GEOINTEC has successfully executed two new Pull Out Test (POT) in northern Chile, specifically in the Antofagasta and Atacama regions, during the month of May. These works reinforce the company’s international presence in technically demanding geotechnical engineering projects.
For the execution of Pull Out Test, GEOINTEC has its own engineering capabilities and specialised technical equipment, enabling the collection of precise and reliable data on ground behaviour and the proposed foundation solutions. Among the parameters determined through the Pull Out Test, the following are of particular note:
- Refusal analysis and ramming times, as well as the feasibility of pile driving and the percentage breakdown of the execution methods employed.
- Load and ground displacement recorded for each step and cycle of lateral and vertical loading applied during the tests.
- Analysis of the experienced loads that produce the key tolerances of the structure under analysis.
- Recorded success rate and validation of the proposed foundation solutions for each location.
- Definition of foundation solutions for validated areas and technical recommendations for unvalidated areas.
